The Lost Ones Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2009 which helps uplift and motivate at risk girls ages 12-18. Lost Ones strives to help young girls understand the ramifications of negative behavior and encourage them to seek another way of life by exposing them to new environments. Each summer and winter Lost Ones chooses a select number of girls to join us on a 5-day extravagant and life altering retreat filled with motivational workshops, presenters, fun outings and a complete make-over and photo shoot. We believe that through the positive reinforcement of our retreats the participants are shown that anything can be achieved through hard work, dedication and keeping a positive attitude. Each season we carefully select a peaceful and serene destination that allows the girls to get away from their normal everyday setting and enliven their outlook on life.
It is the intent of The Lost Ones Foundation, Inc. to equip these young women with the tools that will encourage them to thrive, which ultimately sets them in motion to elevate the next generation. Through the building of self-esteem, there are so many obstacles that can be overcome. We want the participants to know that we are here with open arms and that “You are not alone.”
The Lost Ones Foundation, Inc. serves an alienated, marginalized community of young women who are often ignored, set aside, disregarded or ultimately dismissed as “The Lost Ones”. Our goal is to inspire, mentor, and aid these troubled young women by offering practical and life changing retreats that will provide direction, a renewed outlook, and a strong sense of purpose.
The Lost Ones Foundation, Inc. will target under served, yet deserving young women who need assistance in turning their lives around. These young women are in despair often due to:
- Early pregnancy
- Truancy
- Defiance
- Criminal behavior
- Violence
- Drug use
- Sexual misconduct
- and/ or other self-deprecatory activities
